This Privacy Policy describes how Sikgen Technologies ("Sikgen AI", "we", or "us") collects, uses, and protects information about institutions and their users when they access our platform at https://sikgen.ai.
1. Data we collect
- Institution account data: Name, email, phone, organisation name provided during registration.
- Student data: Name, email, progress records, and exam attempt data provided by the institution or directly by students enrolled by the institution.
- Course content: PDFs, documents, and media uploaded by institutions for AI indexing.
- Usage data: Log data, page views, session duration, and feature interactions used for platform improvement.
- Payment data: Billing information processed via our payment provider (Razorpay/Stripe). We do not store raw card numbers.
2. How we use data
- To deliver and improve the Sikgen AI platform features described at https://sikgen.ai/product.
- To provide AI tutoring and question generation grounded in your institution's uploaded content.
- To send transactional emails (onboarding, exam reminders, performance alerts) as configured by the institution.
- We do not use institution content or student data to train general AI models.
3. Data sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with sub-processors required to deliver the service (e.g., cloud hosting, payment gateway, email delivery), each governed by Data Processing Agreements.
4. Data retention & deletion
Student and content data is retained for the duration of the institution's active contract. On contract termination, data is deleted within 30 days of a written request.
5. Your rights
Institutions and their users may request access, correction, or deletion of their data by contacting support@sikgen.ai.
