Australia
AI LMS for education and training organisations in Australia
Australian vocational education is unusually tightly regulated, and that shapes what a platform has to do. Registered Training Organisations operate under a national regulator, deliver against nationally defined training packages, and report student data in a prescribed format. The consequence is that evidence and exportability matter more here than in most markets — an RTO cannot use a platform it cannot get clean records out of. Alongside the VET sector sit higher education, professional CPD and a substantial corporate training market.
Who this is for in Australia
Registered Training Organisations
Nationally regulated, audited, and required to report student data in a prescribed format. Record exportability is a procurement requirement, not a preference.
Professional CPD providers
Continuing professional development with mandatory hours, where completion evidence has to be defensible.
Corporate training teams
In-house L&D wanting branded delivery and evidence of retention rather than attendance.
Higher education providers
Independent and non-university providers looking for AI tutoring and assessment on their own material.
Where we work in Australia
Sikgen AI is a cloud platform — these are the markets we have written about, not the limit of where it can run. There is nothing to install anywhere.
Regulation and data protection in Australia
These obligations generally sit with your institution rather than with us as a software supplier. They are listed because they shape what a platform has to do — not as a claim that buying software discharges them.
Privacy Act 1988 & Australian Privacy Principles
The APPs govern collection, use and cross-border disclosure. APP 8 in particular deals with disclosure to overseas recipients, which is directly relevant to a platform operated from outside Australia — worth reading before, not after, a vendor decision.
Notifiable Data Breaches scheme
Eligible breaches must be notified to the OAIC and to affected individuals. Your vendor contract needs to set out how and how quickly you would be told, which is one of the terms our DPA covers.
ASQA and the VET Quality Framework
Registered Training Organisations are audited against national standards covering assessment validity and record-keeping. Any platform used for assessment has to fit that framework.
AVETMISS reporting
RTOs report student data in a nationally prescribed format. Confirm with any vendor how records come out of the system before you commit — this is the single most common integration gap for RTOs buying overseas software.
Where your data is held
We do not operate an Australian region today. Hosting arrangements and the sub-processor list are set out in the DPA before signature, which matters here specifically because APP 8 puts the onus on you as the disclosing entity. If your policy requires onshore storage, raise it at the outset.

Reporting and accreditation
VET Student Loans
Approved courses carry eligibility, progression and reporting obligations. The platform holds learning and assessment evidence; the reporting stays in your student management system.
State training authorities
Subsidised delivery carries state-level reporting in addition to national requirements, and the specifics differ by state.
Support hours and billing
Time-zone overlap
Australian eastern time is 4 hours 30 minutes to 5 hours 30 minutes ahead of India depending on daylight saving. Your afternoon overlaps our morning, so same-day response is realistic for anything raised before your mid-afternoon.
Billing & payment
Invoicing in USD, with AUD quotes available for comparison. Card payments run through Stripe and PayPal; institutional customers are usually invoiced against a purchase order. GST treatment depends on your entity and the place of supply.

Questions we get from Australia
Can the platform support an RTO?
It can carry delivery, assessment and evidence, and records can be exported. It does not replace your student management system or generate AVETMISS files. Confirm the export format against your reporting needs before committing — that gap is the most common problem RTOs hit with overseas software.
Where is data stored?
Not in Australia — we do not operate an Australian region. Hosting is set out in the DPA before signature. This matters more here than in some markets because APP 8 places the obligation on you as the disclosing entity.
Do you comply with the Australian Privacy Principles?
The APPs bind you as the entity collecting the data; our role is to be a processor whose contractual terms let you meet them, which is what the DPA sets out. Any vendor claiming to "be APP compliant" on your behalf is describing something that does not work that way.
